Hi! My name is Abbey Manning. I grew up in Wellington, Missouri. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics in 2003. After graduation, I decided to go back to college to begin working on my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my teaching certification in Special Education at the University of Central Missouri.
In 2005, I married my husband Brady and we moved to Nebraska. As I continued to work on my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my teaching certification in Special Education, I worked at Waverly High School as a Teaching Assistant. I graduated from Doane College in 2008 and received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my teaching certification in Special Education.
I started my career in Special Education in 2007, where I was the Alternate Curriculum Program teacher at Millard South High School until May 2009. In 2009, Brady and I had our first daughter Sophie.
In the August 2009, I began my journey with School District 145 as a Special Education teacher at Eagle Elementary. In 2012, Brady and I had our second daughter Stella. This year will be my 6th year at Eagle Elementary!
